Pauline Pantsdown, the drag persona of musician Simon Hunt, became a queer icon in the late 1990s by using camp and satire to challenge conservative politician Pauline Hanson. When Hanson claimed eating a Halal Snack Pack supported extremism, Queer Food responded with flavour—creating this BBQ sauce for their queer reimagining of the HSP. A delicious act of protest that brings joy and heat to any meal.
