The AfriBOMB Bracelet is handmade using two meaningful elements. The paper beads are crafted in Uganda, where women artisans hand-roll each bead from paper, then paint and seal them for strength and a polished finish. These beads are paired with a heart charm made from recycled aluminium sourced from airplane parts and bomb fragments dropped across Laos during the Secret War.
AfriBeads partners with Sacred by Design, who work directly with Lao communities and support safe bomb-recovery efforts led by Swiss NGO Helvetas. Each bracelet includes the name of the woman who made it, giving you a direct connection to the artisan. The result is a lightweight, colourful and symbolic piece that blends ethical fashion with powerful storytelling.
